Prior to this, solid mercury was observed only during severe frost in Irkutsk in 1736.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Впервые диоксид углерода был получен в твердой фазе в 1834 г. французским ученым Тилорье и использован как средство для замораживания ртути.
