Prospects for the use of low ambient temperatures in thermal power and refrigeration engineering

Бродянский В.М.

Abstract

The potentials of use of low ambient temperatures, typical of the winter period in Russia, in the heat-and-power engineering and refrigeration engineering have been considered in the article. It is known from thermodynamics that in Carnot direct cycle a decrease in the temperature of heat receiver is advantageous from the energy point of view, while in Carnot refrigeration cycle — a decrease in the condensing temperature is beneficial. In practice this can be rather easily implemented in refrigeration technique by supplying cold outside air to condensers of refrigerating installation. In steam power cycles a decrease in temperature level is associated with the necessity to change the traditional working substance — water. In this case use of Kalina water-ammonia cycle has good prospects. The problems associated with the transition to air condensers can be fully overcome.

10 years of Zanotti S.p.A. in the Russian Federation

Kotlyar L.S.

Abstract

In March 2003 the Representative Office of Italian company Zanotti S.p.A. - a manufacturer of refrigeration equipment - in the Russian Federation celebrated its 10th anniversary. This date was dedicated to the May 14, 2003. Zanotti S.p.A. and Luigino Belloni with employees and managers of Russian companies, Zanotti dealers and distributors, design and service organizations ( Installation and service organizations ("Morena", "New Line", "Russian Project", "Commercial Design", "Khladonprom", "Climat Stale", "Energopromservice", "Center Cold", "Tehol", "AZNH-M", "Giproribprom", "Giproholod", "Food", "Termokul" and others. ). The Technical Director of the Representative Office L.S. Kotlyar made a review report on the company's activities and equipment. Fragments of this speech are published below.

Selection of a cooling system for the integrated high-frequency electric drive of refrigeration centrifugal compressors

Sukhomlinov I.Y., Golovin M.V., Savelyeva I.Y., Tagantsev O.M.

Abstract

Refrigeration system of the integral high-frequency motor of centrifugal compressors for water-chilling machines are compared in the article. The schemes of refrigeration by refrigerant vapor removed from the cycle on the level of suction pressure into the compressor and on the level of compressor pressure after the first stage, as well as the scheme of refrigeration with the help of water jacket are considered in detail. It is shown that refrigeration through heat removal with the help of water jacket is the most efficient, with the efficiency rising with decreasing of pressure in the area of drive and of the molecular mass of the refrigerant. In general refrigeration with refrigerant vapor circulating in the system is always more advantageous from the energy point of view, than the supply of additional amount of liquid refrigerant.

Camera and showcase: two in one

Abstract

Glass doors and fronts of such doors have been used as a part of commercial refrigeration equipment of full factory production for a long time. The use of these products in combination with refrigeration chambers is still a novelty for the Russian consumer. Some aspects of this, undoubtedly, interesting topic will be discussed in this review.

Efficient enclosing structures of cold rooms from sandwich panels

Abstract

When storing refrigerated products, quality and reliable thermal insulation of cold rooms plays a significant role. Important conditions for keeping cold in them and ensuring the specified parameters are correctly selected heat, water and vapor insulating materials and tight connection of elements. Recently, more and more priorities are given to the use of ready-made sandwich elements based on polyurethane foam as heat insulation.

Modernization of the Irkutsk Refrigeration Plant

Machkov I.G.

Abstract

The Irkutsk Cold Storage Plant was put into operation in 1958. (the ice cream factory went into operation in 1960), has a total conditional capacity of 19645 tons, including the capacity of negative temperature chambers of 11739 tons. The ice-cream factory performs operations of acceptance, storage and shipment of goods, rents out refrigerated chambers, and produces ice cream. The refrigeration plant was reconstructed between 1993 and 1996, but was not completed. In 2002 with the coming of the new owner reconstruction and modernization of the ammonia refrigerating plant (ACP) according to the project of Odessa Institute of Low Temperature Equipment and Energy (1995) was resumed.
