50 years in refrigeration engineering. For a long time and for a long time

Savitsky I.

Abstract

At the end of the 1940s, the question arose of the need for widespread introduction of artificial cold in various sectors of the country's national economy. The refrigeration engineering industry was given the task of further developing and improving the designs of refrigeration machines and apparatuses, expanding their range with the use of new refrigerants and automation equipment.
In accordance with the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR of November 14, 1949 No. 5226, it was decided to establish in 1950 the Central Design Bureau of Refrigeration Engineering (TsKB KhM) in order to develop modern refrigeration equipment, as well as to reconstruct the refrigeration engineering plants.

New developments in screw and scroll compressors

Krinitsky D.G., Burdanov N.G.

Abstract

Along with the design of refrigeration compressors, employees of the Department of Rotary and Reciprocating Compressors of VNIIholodmash-Holding OJSC, together with OJSC Penzkompressormash, are actively working to modernize air compressor stations with screw compressors. Over the past three years, a number of air screw compressors have been created with a capacity of 4 to 40 m3 / min and an overpressure of discharge of 0.7 ... 0.9 MPa. These compressors use a new profile of the rotor teeth, designed by OAO VNIIholodmash-Holding, taking into account modern trends.

Development and implementation of absorption lithium bromide refrigeration machines and heat pumps

Shmuylov N.G.

Abstract

For more than 40 years, absorption lithium bromide refrigerating machines have been successfully used in world practice to produce chilled water (7 °C). In our country, the introduction of machines of this type was initiated by the work of the Department of Refrigeration Machines of the Leningrad Technological Institute of the Refrigeration Industry (now St. Petersburg State University of Low-Temperature and Food Technologies), where, under the guidance of prof. L.M. Rozenfeld designed a pilot sample of an absorption lithium bromide refrigerating machine with a design capacity of 3 MW. Tests of this sample as a refrigeration machine and heat pump, carried out by LTIHP and VNIIkholodmash in 1964-1966. at the industrial stand of the Chernihiv artificial fiber plant in a wide range of temperatures of heat sources and operating modes laid the foundation for the production of machines of this type in our country.

Cosmic abbreviations of cold

Markanov M.A.

Abstract

Chief designer of the project N.I. Ilyina has been working at the institute since its foundation, having gone from a young specialist to the head of a department, which she led for more than 35 years. This charming woman, thanks to her high professional and human qualities, has great authority among numerous customers, system manufacturers, installers and operators. More than 40 different thermostating systems, stationary and mobile, air and liquid, developed under her leadership for space rockets and launch complexes have practically no failures and operate for 20 years or more. And today, N.I. Ilyina is full of innovative ideas, energetic and inspires all the employees of the department with her enthusiasm.

YORK International is the first foreign company to start production of central air conditioners in Russia

Abstract

At the end of August 2000, YORK International Corporation opened a plant for the production of central air conditioners in Zelenograd (Moscow). At the initial stage, they will be assembled from 100% imported components under the license of the YORK central air conditioner plant in Italy. In the next few years, according to the production development program, a transition to Russian-made components is expected. YORK central air handling units meet the highest quality standards and can be used in any configuration for a wide variety of applications.
A unique computer program allows you to optimally select the main elements that meet specific application conditions at a minimum cost, take into account the special requirements and operating conditions of the installation, as well as obtain all the necessary technical information and certified graphics.

Modern trends in the improvement of water-cooled refrigeration machines (chillers) for air conditioning systems

Abstract

The production program of the world's leading manufacturers of water-cooled refrigeration machines (chillers) used in air conditioning systems, as a rule, consists of two groups of equipment: a group of domestic chillers (standard cooling capacity range 5 ... 150 kW) and a group of industrial chillers (range standard cooling capacity 35 ... 1500 kW). The cooling capacity ranges are estimates: depending on the manufacturer, the limit values can either increase or decrease.

The use of CAD in the design of refrigeration units

Lazarev A.G., Utkin A.Y.

Abstract

The creation of any mechanism or device requires design work to identify the number and type of operations, material costs, etc.
One of the most important stages in the development of the project is the preparation of design documentation for the product. Before the advent of the computer age, this stage took a lot of time and people. As a result, the product often lost its relevance.
