TECHNOBLOCK - 10 years in Russia
Abstract
2004 marks the 10th anniversary of the presence of the Italian company TECHNOBLOCK on the Russian market. Is it a lot or a little? In our opinion, this depends on the tasks that the company set for itself and the conditions in which it worked. Taking into account the difficult economic situation in Russia, which is constantly aggravated by defaults (or crises close to them), as well as strong competition, 10 years is not bad. But for a company that has come to Russia forever and sets itself the goal of deep integration into the national economy, 10 years is not much. Today, one thing is clear: TECHNOBLOCK has established itself in Russia, is successfully operating and developing dynamically. The main burden of organizing effective work in Russia, including technical support for engineering projects, fell on the Moscow office of the company, which for all these years has been permanently headed by Mr. Milko Kenda
International Academy of Refrigeration
Abstract
In the Omsk regional department, research was carried out in the field of cryogenic vacuum, increasing the efficiency of Stirling and Tiffard-McMahon CGM; microcryogenic systems based on a cooler with a rare-earth regenerator for cooling superconducting integrated circuits have been created.
Modern milk cooling equipment
Abstract
Designs and characteristics of Russian milk coolers completed with refrigerating units produced by ZAO «Ostrov» (Mytischi) are considered. Characteristics of condensing units AK based on reciprocating compressors Maneurop are given. Schemes of refrigeration supply to milk coolers directly from the refrigerating unit with the use ofthe bottom ofthe reservoir as a cooling jacket or with the application of a water-cooling machine are presented.
Cold is part of our life! (York Corporation and its products)
Abstract
Corporation "York" was founded in 1874 in the USA (York, Pennsylvania). The transnational company York International is the world's leading company in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Its annual turnover is about 4 billion US dollars. York International has manufacturing, sales and service structures in more than 60 countries around the world. ZAO York International, a Russian subsidiary, was registered in Moscow in 1992.
Climatic test chamber KK-40I manufactured by Frigodesign
Abstract
One of the activities of the Frigodesign company is the design and manufacture of non-standard refrigeration equipment. Climate test chambers are one of the most difficult areas of activity from an engineering point of view, since the cold supply and heating systems, ventilation and air conditioning designed for the chamber, connected by a common control and registration system information, should promptly and accurately ensure the temperature and humidity conditions inside the chamber necessary for periodic testing of commercial equipment. The KK-40I climate test chamber manufactured by Frigodesign, after installation at the customer’s site, was certified by representatives of the State Standard for conducting climatic tests in accordance with GOST 238330-95.
AlfaNova - revolutionary technology from Alfa Laval
Abstract
Alfa Laval's history of leadership in the production of brazed plate heat exchangers dates back to the 1970s. Then a completely new solution was offered to the refrigeration market - a copper-brazed plate heat exchanger for liquid cooling systems. Such advantages of this type of equipment as compactness and strength, high heat transfer coefficient, ease of installation, received a deservedly high appraisal of both manufacturers and consumers of refrigeration equipment. Alfa Laval now offers the world's first AlfaNova heat exchanger made entirely of stainless steel.
Industrial cold
Abstract
The development and re-equipment of the leading enterprises of the food and processing industries implies cooperation with reliable partners, professionals who are able to promptly and efficiently offer a solution to the problem and bring it to life. For enterprises that require cooling or freezing systems for production processes or refrigeration units to maintain low temperatures during storage of products, Aircool LLC offers a full range of services for the creation of industrial refrigeration facilities for industrial enterprises, starting with design work, manufacturing equipment and ending with its commissioning , installation and round-the-clock service.
Absorption thermotransformers in energy saving systems
Abstract
The use of absorption heat transformers in seasonal systems of energy saving at energy-intensive enterprises has been considered. The schemes of such systems on the basis of modified and series absorption refrigerating machines working on unused summer thermal removal or waste heat of technological processes of the enterprise are described. The evaluation of efficiency of the systems is carried out with the use of exergy method and mathematical modelling.
Practical application of water chillers
Abstract
Recently, the food industry cannot be imagined without air conditioning units, cooling and freezing of semi-finished products and final products. Not a single modern enterprise can do without refrigeration equipment. In addition, enterprises with technological equipment that generates heat during operation (for example, machines for the production of plastic containers) need cold. Most refrigeration units are designed to cool water and other liquids with a lower freezing point. Examples of the use of water-cooling equipment can be listed endlessly: this is the cooling of milk, beer, wine and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, candy mass on cooling tables, poultry carcasses, ham, sausages after heat treatment and, of course, air conditioning in rooms. There are many varieties and modifications of water-cooling units depending on their purpose and cooling capacity, installation location, operating mode, cooling scheme. Of great importance are the type of cooled liquid (food or technical), its required final temperature, temperature difference before and after cooling. This article briefly discusses the most common cooling schemes and their respective plant modifications.
AF/ARMAFLEX - a guarantee of reliability
Abstract
ARMACELL is a pioneer in the global market of thermal insulation materials: in the 1950s, the specialists of the company, known at that time as “Armstrong-Insulating Materials”, for the first time in the world developed a revolutionary thermal insulation material made of synthetic rubber, which later became widely known among specialists. under the Armaflex brand. For more than 50 years, the company has maintained a leading position in the global market for thermal insulation materials made of foamed rubber and polyethylene. The secret of the company's success is both simple and difficult to achieve: impeccable product quality, continuous improvement of production technology, a wide range, technical support for customers. Currently, ARMACELL, which owns 15 factories in 11 countries, is the world's largest manufacturer of flexible thermal insulation made of foamed rubber (Armaflex and Armaduct series materials) and polyethylene (Tubolit series).
Improving the safety of ammonia refrigeration plants
Abstract
On April 25, 2004, the rarest accident in the operation of ammonia refrigeration plants occurred at the Moscow Cold Storage Plant No. 14 - an ammonia explosion. Ammonia is explosive only in a very narrow range of concentrations in air - from 15 to 28%. Therefore, over the entire long history of the use of ammonia refrigeration machines in world practice, only a few cases of explosions have been recorded. The cause of the last accident was unacceptable wear of equipment, non-compliance by maintenance personnel with elementary rules for the safe operation of ammonia refrigeration systems, and the imperfection of the “Safety Rules for Ammonia Refrigeration Units” ПБ09-595- 03. This accident received a wide response in the press, and, what is most dangerous, it can lead to a ban on the use of ammonia refrigeration units and a massive transition to freons.
In memory of Boris Adolfovich Minkus (1904-2004)
Abstract
Boris Adolfovich would have turned 100 on June 15, 2004. Preparations have already begun at the Odessa State Academy of Refrigeration for this anniversary. Boris Adolfovich had extensive plans related to publishing. Alas, they are no longer destined to be realized.
